Cego lock cases are also sometimes known as Zenith, Bowater or Staybrite, although some versions of Staybrite gearboxes/cases have different connectors and will not interchange with CEGOCASE35. This Cego 3 Surelock copy gearbox has a latch/deadbolt on a 35 mm backset, 92/70 mm centres and is operated by lift lever or double spindle. Please note that the screw holes are unthreaded and so the use of self-tapping screws is required.
To reverse the latch put the multipoint lock strip on the floor with the latch and deadbolt facing to the left. Undo the 5 screws on the side of the case, remove the flat positioning plate, remove the latch clip and twist the latch into the desired position. Then reinsert the flat positioning plate and latch clip, replace the cover and tighten screws.
