Description

The Winkhaus AV2 multipoint lock is an automatic locking system that operates as soon as the door is closed: hooks on this lock are automatically engaged when the door is closed, without needing to lift the handle. The door handle or thumbturn will retract the hooks from the inside and a further turn of the key deadlocks the door. Distance between hooks: 1490mm.
The autolock AV2 is approved by the Police "Secured by Design" security initiative and is suitable for composite, timber, aluminium doors as well as some PVCu systems.
Features:
*  Solid Anti Push-Back Hooks: The effective automatic multi-point locking system has two solid hooks which throw automatically when the door is closed, ensuring complete claw engagement and security against the lock being pushed back. This means the door is securely locked when pushed closed, rendering break-in difficult.
*  Heavy Duty Steel Keeps:  Heavy Duty Steel Keeps manufactured using high grade steel, plated to comply with Grade 5 corrosion resistance BS EN1670
*  Latch and Deadbolt:  Precision engineered alloy sprung latch and nickel plated steel deadbolt provides the autolock AV2 with maximum strength in the centre of the door.  With an added option of an independent central deadbolt with key or thumbturn activation available to suit residential or communal entrance doors.
*  High Performance Gearboxes:  Tested to 100,000 cycles, the sprung gearbox offers the lowest possible operating forces and helps prevent handle "droop",
*  Lifetime Adaptability:  Autolock AV2 is part of the "Winkhaus Family of Locks" with exactly the same routing details as the Winkhaus Cobra, Trulock, thunderbolst and autolock AV3 locking mechanisms, allowing the locks to be interchanged for user requirements or building use.
*  Indeally suited to FD30 and FD60 Doors
*  HANDED- please note that this is the Right Hand Version of the AV2+ Autolock, with Latch Deadbolt, 2 Hooks and a 20 mm Radius Faceplate.
